Tom, the rear hub is a real bear, as you have found out.  As Bob pointed
out take your time, and add penetrating oil, tap with hammer, while
having the tension on the hub, and over several days it will give.  The
article on hub pullers in the archives are very good.

On the wheel studs, don't worry about them, just replace them.  Go to
Curt or Rick, as they are not available from regular sources, so don't
waste you time like I did.  They are easy to remove, just whack the
front side with a brass hammer, and they will pop out. Replacement, is
the reverse.

Important, when putting the hub back on, use antiseize compound.  I used
a synthetic grease on one side the first time, and had problems getting
the cleaned up hub off again, even though it was only 3 days.  With
antiseize, no problem.
