Got me on the carpet...

Hi,  I'm trying to finish the carpet installation in the area under the door
sills at the very rear of the doors.  There is a small triangle shaped area
located right below the rear part of the door that I'm not sure how to
cover.  This is that area directly on the backside of where the triangular
door trim plate screws to.  The long side rail pieces from the carpet kit do
not cover this area.   Should this be covered by vinyl?
