Larry:
Rootes must have anticipated the need to occassionaly bang that pump with a 
hammer. Now
that's good engineering planning. If only modern cars were built that well. 
When you think
of it, though, they should have installed the fuel pump right next to the 
shifter in the
passenger compartment. That way, if you're driving by yourself, you can still 
continue
driving and hitting the SU fuel pump at the same time!
