Hi Allan,

so we in the UK are the poor relatives when it comes to Tigers. Unlike
your sun bathed California cars which are considered rust buckets once
they get wet, we have plenty of practice in fixing rust, I replaced
pretty well all the bottom 18 inches of my first car!

In fact I guess the guy who dreamed up the Flintstones must have driven
and English Sunbeam with faulty brakes and decided to make use of the
holes in the floor.

I was outside last night at minus 2 centigrade trying to get the Alpine
blower working to melt the ice on the inside of the windshield!

On the Florida Tiger, like the six million dollar man - we can rebuild
it, we have the technology ( grinder, hammer and welder.....) but man
its rusty 8-)
>From the photos on EBay, it looked like the owner had driven it from the
UK to the US - perhaps it is an early development prototype for the Bond
Lotus Esprit!

I saw the Tiger on EBay when it went through for around $1300, the buyer
being a UK Sunbeam dealer. I guess the deal fell through ......

It looked rebuildable but was a lot of work or a potential Alger!

regards

Jeff
