289 Hi-PO Myths

Ford did periodic Brinnell testing of cranks for quality control and, at the 
same time, for selecting 289 Hi-PO cranks as needed. That meant that some 
cranks didn't get tested and some cranks that did get tested weren't used in 
the 
289 Hi-PO build, but were just used in the other 289 engines.

All original 289 blocks were made from the same casting number. There was no 
distinction until the machining operation.
