Hi Ron

This is a Sunbeam with Lucas electrics...

The ground for the rear lights is via the screws that hold the light
frame to the body... No need for an extra coSt ground wire.

Joey ... look for and remove any paint or corrosion where the light
frame, screw and body meet.

On some of my Alpines the rear light's ground path is secured by wing
nuts to make it easier to remove the fixture to change the bulbs..
Don't over tighten the mounting least you distort the thin
light frame. Make the ground path nice and shiney.

I haven't found a need for an added ground wire in the rear,
but found it really is needed for the front turn TS lights.

Seems like you have a ground problem or wiring problem in the rear
lights. Do you have a wire diagram to follow? See Tiger United if not.
http://www.tigersunited.com/resources/wsm/wsmN35.asp

The wire harness runs behind the drivers side kick panel and leads
down the sill to the rear of the car. You should be able to find the
connectors for that harness just under the dash on the left side. Check
all the connectors in the harness and make sure they are all correctly color
