Very interesting article.  How about comments from some of you engineers?  
The one part that sounds like crap to me is that existing manufacturers aren't 
interested because they would have to spend to much to retool.  Hey, if a 
company could revolutionize the industry and outsell all of their competitors, 
they 
wouldn't mind spending to retool.  After all, that would be cheaper than this 
guy getting investors and starting from scratch.
