Hi Stu -=C2=A0I replaced my dash pad, etc..=C2=A0 I replaced my dash board=
at the same time as the pad, so I'm not sure what you want to do can be do=
ne.=C2=A0 If you want to do this (and there is good reason for your plan), =
you most likely will have to pull your steering wheel and shaft.=C2=A0 The =
reason is that you want the dash board hanging down, and the presence of th=
e steering shaft will prevent this.
One important thing about replacing the dash pad!=C2=A0 In my experience th=
e pads from Sunbeam Specialties do not fit properly!=C2=A0 The right edge o=
f the pad is about 1/2 inch too long, and needs to be modified to fit prope=
rly, preferably before installation.=C2=A0 I never got mine quite right sin=
ce I didn't notice it until the dash was installed.=C2=A0 =C2=A0I mentioned=
this to Rick and he totally denied it, but there are several references on=
line about this problem, so I don't think I am the first.
Good luck with your project.

I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a project to replace the rubbe=
r seals around the windshield and windshield frame.=C2=A0 Of course, the pr=
oject scope is growing like Topsy, now including new windshield glass and d=
ash top pad.
I found the Tim Raymond videos on Youtube about these jobs, good info.=C2=
=A0 He was doing a full restoration, so his dashboard was out.=C2=A0 Is thi=
s necessary, or can you just disconnect some stuff and pull the dash out fa=
r enough to access enough of the pad bottom?
