Rollbar Safety Tip: If your head is at or near the same level as the bar,
use padding. If you get hit from behind in a whiplash situation, your
head will crack against the rollbar....which is negative. You can get a
good whack, even with a race helmet..ask me what that black smudge is on my
race helmet. Summit Racing and others sell roll bar foam cylinders which
you can put on the bar and tape on...not pretty, but cheap. Don't forget
your passenger too. If you would ever roll the car over, remember to hold
onto the steering wheel... you can lose an arm between the roll bar and the
ground. Open track/race cars use arm restraints to keep this from happening.
