I have one. Actually it is two. They come stick like. Once they are covered
in sealer and inserted, one must cut off the left overs that stick out with
a hack saw. Then it is recommended to file the remaining sharp edges flush
to the block. They are aluminum plugs and if your block was cooked and
cleaned it would have melted and come out. I  rebuilt an engine a while back
and when using the plug, for some reason it would never seal. I went to a
plumbing wholesale shop and found a hex head bolt which I cut to the same
length of the plug, as to not block any flow of oil. After finding a washer
style gasket that was both resistant to heat and oil, I used some gasket
sealer and inserted the bolt. It has never leaked since. Now if you want the
