Hugh---I have set the crank thrust washers to .003 clearance without a problem. That is still plenty of room for lubrication, and there doesn't seem to be enough expansion of parts here to lessen the clearance when things are warmed up. Be sure there are no high spots anywhere that will give a false reading. Dick |
