Mike,

Mine was in about the same condition. one rust hole and really well
weathered paint. The interior was what drove me. It was so bad that it had
to be totally replaced. new interior with the old exterior led me to a new
paint job.

I did all of the "inside" paint and had a body shop do the exterior. My
part was about 80 hours and $400.00 in parts and tools (I bought the spray
guns etc) and 2600.00 for the exterior work.

Was it worth it, possibly not but what I have now is a really cool Sunday
driver
(see www.kc4sw.com/triumph.htm)

At any rate my 2 cents worth

Steve

I have an original 69pi,it has the usual rust and paint problems, but you
could
get around doing a total respray. It,s a Sunday driver for me and I got no
future intentions of making it a show car.Opinions Please. regards Mike
