Hi Tim,

I'm well aware of all of the clutch issues on the TR6. I'm also running
the KOYO with a B&B.

The TO (release) bearing is one story.....then there is the bulging
plastic fluid line, snapping taper pins, worn cross shaft bushings,
misdrilled cross shafts, worn clevis pins and associated holes, worn fork
dowel pins, worn front cover on transmission, blown MC or slaves, worn
crank thrust washers. Are these problems caused by poor quality parts,
poor design, or end of life for these parts?? It's my belief that much
of this "wear" in many instances is caused by a plate that is too stiff.
Step on the clutch in a string of TR6s and you might get a different feel
from many of them. Unless the owner has changed the location of the
slave rod with respect to the cross shaft arm holes, it tells me that the
plate is different in each that feels different from the others. The
larger diameter of the KOYO could also make the clutch feel slightly
different. You'd have to ask why the owner changed the location of the
rod in the arm. Was it by mistake or was he mistakenly trying to get a
little more throw to the slave?

I'll report my findings when the day comes that I can put some time into
troubleshooting my clutch system.

I'm glad you've had good luck with the B&B setup....but I'll be using the
LuK

Good LuK,
Jay
