As promised, I've loaded up a crude webpage with a little text and some 
pictures explaining how I used spare soft top latches and modified 
turnbuckle to install my Parrish/Smoothline fiberglass hardtop.  The page

It loads quite fast -- pictures included, less than 30 seconds on my slow 
28.8 connection.
