While we're on the subject, what about changing over to synthetic, esp if
your engine has > 100K?

A mechanic once told me that synthetic is slicker and has more detergents,
as a result it can cause seals to start leaking and loosen gunk in a motor
leading to clogged oil pump strainers in higher milage engines. He
recommended flushing the engine before converting to remove the gunk but
leaking seals are still a risk.  I'm not sure my seals can leak more so
maybe not much risk ;^).
