Bruce,
It pretty much sucks now matter how you do it. This job and getting
the steering boot cover over the drivers side of the steering rack rank
up there as a couple of the most PITA jobs on the car. Just keep
trying different approaches to see what works best.

several clips into the door, was able to mount the outside rubber seal.
The
inside felt strip looks to be a little more challenging. With the door
cap
glued down, there is considerably more thinkness and the felt strip
sets in a
hook on the clip that attaches to the door.
Is it easier to mount the clips on the strip and then mount the clips
to the
door? Any words of wisdom is appreciated.
