Hello All,
I will be attempting the body tub removal on my tr6 this weekend.
Since my car has no body rust, I will not be disassembling and painting the
individual body parts. I will be removing the entire body as a single unit.
I have purchased two 1 ton chain hoists, and will be attaching the hoists
to the ceiling via a bracket attached to the ceiling joists. I have two
questions: 1) Will it be ok to lift the body with no pillar brace as long
as I leave the doors shut? and 2) What are some good points to attach the
chain hoist to the body? I was thinking of using one chain hoist to lift
the rear of the body, and one chain hoist for the front of the body. I
would like to use a 4 point lift. Are there any solid areas under the hood,
or in the trunk area to attach some fabbed up lift brackets?
Thank you for your help,
Cary Henry
