Thanks to all those who replied to my query about the compression test on my
'76.? I apologize for leaving out a description of the modifications on the
motor.? They were done by the PO at a shop called AutoSport in Seattle.? They
include a 9.5 to 1 compression ratio, "hot cam," "bowl work," lightened
flywheel, and headers.? I don't know exactly what year the mods were done or
how many miles ago.? My?mechanic favors the blown head gasket theory, but said
that he would check the valves first.
I'll report back when I have more information...
