I looked at the '99 V6 Mustang (but not at the sheetmetal!). It did not have a
limited slip differential. Some of my friends who are acquainted with this
vehicle and are "retired" autocrossers do not feel that it would be a
competitive car.

I agree wholeheartedly with the v6 mustang theory. Especialy, since Ford
raised the Hp and torque this year. I would like to see them put an overhead
cam setup on this same engine.Maybe sometime in the future? Who knows?

Anyone besides me think the new V6 Mustang would make a great
GS car? Compared to the V6 Camaro it weighs ~260lbs less, has
a lower torque peak and sticks better in stock configuration. Car
and Driver had it beating the Camaro by half a second to 60mph.
No idea on what is available on it from the factory in terms of diffs
or suspension packages.
