This is too simple, it can't be good. :-)
Why not?
This way, we'll have 8 cars that are "Best" car according to the
formula. Right now, we have 8 cars that are the "best" car according
to the SEB. I don't see that big a difference between the two.
Ok, we have to have weights. Can we use published weights from some
authority? How about make classing GUIDELINES in the Rule Book but
have scales at the major events? It will get weird when, say adding
AC, bumps you DOWN a class...
I like it, might want to play with the 15lbs, or maybe make it 3
tiered, or maybe not use engine location, but the BASIC idea is very
sound in my opinion.
