My company sold all the lighting and electrical on the entire project. They
requested a bid on parking lot lighting as an option. Our bid on the
lighting to the electric contractor was over $500,000. That was before the
contractor put his margin on it and their labor. I spoke to the contractor
after he submit his bid, he said he never saw anybody drop the subject so
fast in his life. And that was just the electrical bid, I can't imagine the
excavating, storm drainage, and paving. It wouldn't surprise me if it added
$5-10mill to the project.
