Gee, I was gonna say that those pressures sound really low. . . <g>
I run 59 front and 53 rear in the Hoosiers on my BMW M Roadster. The front
tires roll over at 57. Hoosier Tom was amazed when I told him this, but
when I told him what car I drive, he said that it sounded right. I have
recently spoken to several other folks who run high (mid to upper fifties)
pressure as well.
One very fast CP guy said to ignore rollover, his tires roll to the tops of
the H's (Hoosiers, but not autocross tires - slicks?). My feeling is that
you should run at least mid forties on the high pressure set (front?), and
adjust this to remove rollover.

225/45/13 Hoosier Autocross Radials on 13x9 Keizers. I run 27 lbs in front
and 25 lbs in rear. Of course your numbers are going to be different but
not
20 lbs different. I would start with 30 lbs all around and check for
sidewall rollover, etc. BTW the 225/45/13 is approximately 1 inch shorter
than the 225/50/13.

A bunch of you wanted to know which tires I got for my
new (for me) 13 x 8 Keizer wheels. I decided to get a set of
road-race compound Hoosier radials in the 225-50-13 size.
It's a compromise in terms of height and compound. The Hoosier
Autocrossers in the 225-45-13 size looked very nice. Maybe I'll try
them next time. I just didn't want to destroy a set of autocross
compound Hoosier radials whle I learned how to use them. I had a
friend tear apart a set of those tires after 12 runs. I also didn't
want to go too short. The 225-50s are taller than I expected.
I've read the Hoosier care and feeding article at Tirerack.com.
I'm looking for suggestions for pressures. If I can't get a
consensus and I can't decide on my own, I'll go extra high with
something like 53 psi front and 50 psi rear. I know those tires like
lots of air. I'll use my pyrometer too.
I just got the tires mounted this evening. I'm doing a
proof-of-fit test tomorrow (I hope). My street tires are 215-45-15
Toyo T1Ss so I'm optimistic things will work well with no need to
go postal on my fenders with a baseball bat. ;-)
