Looking for information on reading the residue rubber on a slick after a run.
For instance, the front slicks leave a 3/4" wide rubber ridge pretty much
dead center. Moving the camber from minus two degree to minus one half
degree didn't have much effect on this ridge, nor did raising the tire
pressure from 24 to 34 pounds. These are 10.5 inch wide radial slicks on a
1700 pound car with slightly more weight bias towards the rear. The rear
slicks seems to be wiping pretty clean except for a minor deposit along the
inside edge.
