You are right,as I was driving vin 1136 with the original Hydraulic Doors the 
last 10 years,and they were firmly shut with just the rams,I forgot (since vin 
1024 has been in long term hibernation)what it is like to drive with air doors 
and latches,I guess it's different with air doors,since air is displaced 
quicker than a carbon liquid.

I agree. I have air doors and I had removed my D-Rings while realigning the
door and drove the car. The doors would move open with every bounce. You
need some mechanism to keep the doors secure.

When I receive my car over a year ago the solenoids were not working on
either side. A couple of shots of WD-40 and working the solenoid back and
forth and I have not had a problem with them since.
