I'm having quite a bit of rechroming done on my 67 1600. As many of you
have mentioned in the past, it is proving to NOT be a cheap endeavor. To
rechrome the rear view, they shop had to break to glass to remove it. I'm
having a local glass co cut the new mirror. They have both the regular
mirror and the day/night mirror. With the mirror being mounted on the dash
and *below* line of sight, does the day/night mirror offer the same
benefits? The glass co didn't know and were baffled why anyone would mount
the mirror on the dash! (all young guys).
