Hello All,
Many of you know that I intend to put my car in for restoration in the
spring of next year. I am in the parts buying phase right now. I have not
really put any dough directly into my 67 2000 for a while now. Recently, I
noticed that engine oil has come up the speedo cable and has collected in a
small pool at the bottom of the gauge. It also has stained the dash.
Now I am militant about my fluid levels because I know that I have an oil
leak at the back of the head. I have always figured "Well, the engine is
going to be totally rebuilt next year" and have not worried too much about
it. He still runs strong as ever.
Does this sound serious to anyone? I just want to drive the hell out of this
car while I have it. Because next spring he will be going away for who knows
how long.
