I wonder if senior castro would have had the balls to have kept up with me
on our last ride up Angeles Crest Highway?

Ten to one says he owns a Roadster.

All his rants on dependability and I still can't think of when the last time
my Roadster failed to start.

It's a joy and a pleasure to own and drive. I drive it daily to work and
back and then look for any excuse to drive it some more. When I walk to it
in a parking lot my heart speeds up and a smiling, joy-pride voice sings in
the back of my mind "There's my car". I fit myself into the seat, so
familiar, eyes are not needed to know where every control and fixture lay.
One short, sharp turn of the key, even on the coldest day, and the willing
powerplant jumps to life. Every sound, of that motor and the drive train is
known to my ear, if I close my eyes, I can see every working part performing
perfectly as if I had hand-crafted each one. This is no piece of static art,
no Jaguar garage kept show queen. It's my grocery getter and my competition
car.

I know for a fact that my feelings are known to others on this list as well
as many other car enthusiasts. If anyone can't relate, maybe your not ready
to. Or maybe, you just don't get it. There's more going on here than just
ownership of a machine that looks pretty and makes you feel like a big
shot. I'm sure there's folks that will put 100,000+ for a z8 supercar and
not even like it, but drive it cause it says "look at me" "I'm a big Deal".
I could care less. Learn to put the top down at least.
