Thanks Jim, I was wondering about the wisdom of a muffler that
big;

As an aside, would it be worth the effort to go 2.25"? If the
exhaust shop was to bend the tubing in such a way as to
squeeze thru the frame? Or is 2" big enough?

Here's why I ask - from my short stint on the 510 list, I gathered
that 2.25" was good for a fairly hot L4; a good barometer of L4
hotness <G> was the carbs - 38mm SUs, DGV, or stock should get 2"
pipe; another useful indicator was displacement - 2L+ or under 2L.

So here we have a 2L four cylinder, with 46mm carbs, big ports,
etc. Sounds like if it were a L-series in a 510 or whatever, 2.25"
would be the way to go.

But I know that bigger isn't always better, and don't want to overkill.

Thoughts?
