Corvairs -- Don't do it.

I had a 1965 red over black Corsa 4 speed convertible and while it was a 
beautiful car, and drove well when it drove well (much better than the 65 
mustangs I have driven) that was not that often.  It got out of tune in a 
week (4 carbs to balance), leaked oil (even with new modern seals), smelled 
inside when the heater was on, which didn't work anyway, and generally was 
not a useful car for days when the top had to be up.

I was actually happy when my son totaled it (he was fine).  

As to values, a cherry 65 or 66 convertible is probably worth $8 to $10K 
tops, they are priced like roadsters, and the restoration costs are usually 
not recoverable.
