I'd think the iron head would keep more heat and more power in the
combustion chamber. These days you can do much the same thing with thermal
coatings on both the chamber and the pistons. Don't know how obvious it is,
but I do know that some sanctioning bodies don't allow it.

Guess we can teach these old dogs some new, high tech tricks.
