seat too weak!

Hi friends,
What can I do to my seats to become stiffer.
I've already tightened the rubber stripes under the seat, but they
seem to be worn out.
I'm nearly touching the floorboard when sitting in the car. Do not
believe that this is normal with me only weighting 70kg.
Maybe I shoud remove the stripes, modify the seat frame to use the
spring type, like on actual seats?
