Phil,

While Tubos are nice they do generate a lot of heat and should really be
intercooled. I'd stick with the non turbo as it has more than enough power
for a 2000lb car.

While your carb idea sounds interesting how are you going to plumb it to the
manifold? You may get better performance with a 4bbl carb and it should run
smoother as well and be a lot cheaper and less complicated to set up the
linkage.

Of course you could have 2 3bbl downdraught Webers poking out of the hood
with a custom clear plexiglass hood scoop to show off :)
