As I remember is was an L series tensioner with an R series plunger. Take
that with a big grain of salt though as I haven't changed my ear oil in a
while.
I think Stan was looking into that but I don't know that it was ever proven
to work.

Hi all,
a while ago I read that there was a tensioner from another nissan
engine that would go into a U20 as a lower tensioner. It was not a good
choice
because because it has no one way valve and no oil escape hole in the
tensioner foot. can anyone tell me what engine this was from??
