Victor et Al.,

It is an alternator. I think I am suffering low voltage and just need to 
replace/rebuild.

Sid is right. They went from Generator to Alternator from 63 to 64.

Wild! Is my 1965 Datsun 320 pickup the same as the 64 SPL310? Don't I have
the same unit in my truck? Or is mine a generator?
