Hey Y'all. (I gotta stop talking with Phil Hall and Brad Holmes. Southerness
is rubbing off.)

It's Mother's Day tomorrow.

For some women, it will be special. Flowers, presents, cards, all that nice
stuff.
Brunch or Dinner out. No cleanup.

For some women, it will be a day like any other day. Hard work, pain
(because the man who loves them or says he does) beats them -again- for
taking a few minutes for themselves with the kids
watching. Some present.

For some women, the children they love and care for, are not of their flesh,
but are of their hearts. The women who are the Mothers, care little for the
child. Just one more thing on the
perfect life agenda.

For some women, they have no memory of the day. Their minds and memories
have left them.

For some women, they want to be mothers. Just once. Their bodies betray
them.

For some women, they stepped in when others failed. Taking the
responsibility, becoming
Mom by choice and need.

And for some men, they are Mom. Doing the work of both parents.

So, on Mother's Day, to whoever raised you, or gave a damn if you were warm,
fed, had your
homework done, cared for you when you were sick as a dog. Remember them if
gone, be nice to
some Mom- even if she isn't yours. It will make some womans day to be
remembered.

Happy Mother's Day

Pamela Bauman
