Hi Listers,  Take a fine thread bolt and a coarse thread bolt of the same 
diameter,  look at the threaded part in profile.  You will notice that the 
fine threads are not as deep into the 'root' of the bolt as the coarse 
threads.  This thicker root allows for the 20% or so increase in strength 
that fine threads have over coarse threads of the same diameter.  Your bolt
