That's a lot of cranking, and hard on that new starter.  If you are careful you
can suck the fuel up to a point where you kind'a know you are about to get it
(you start to taste the fumes) and then put the hose back on the fuel filter.
Then cranking the engine should pump fuel into the carbs in a short time.  
Better
if you have a pump for your power drill.....
