John, make sure you use a flexible strip. It won't fold back under air
pressure but will be forgiving if you hit an object. The airdam on my
510 has 6" clearance and regularly scrapes going in and out of gutters
etc.

I have seen people use the black garden border for a quickie air dam
that
they remove after track day. May try it on my car.
