Allen,
The Solex manifold plugs are 1/8" British Standard Pipe thread (thanks
Stan). I got some BSP to American Standard Taper Pipe thread (NPT) adapters
from a Swagelok (http://www.swagelok.com), cost about $2.50 each. They may
have plugs as well. I also found the early Z and SU roadster intake
manifolds have vacuum fittings with the same thread. I have 4 fittings all
tied together with vacuum hose to improve the vacuum signal at low engine
speed (see: http://home.att.net/~jason510/weber.htm). Results are tbd as I'm
still fussing with float level, fuel pressure and jetting.

Note 1/8" BSP (28 threads per inch, 0.412" OD) are almost the same as 1/8"
NPT (27 tpi, 0.405"OD), but different enough to damage that expensive Solex
manifold.
