Hi list,

Seeking advice/info on the possible cause of a "sticking" passenger side
brake caliper.

The work I did:

1)Fully bleed front and rear hydraulic system
2)Replaced front pads and rear shoes
3)Spun all 4 wheels and found minimal brake drag and felt well adjusted
4)Test the brakes with several normal and panic stops. Brakes worked great,
no pull to either side, no squeaks or clunks and leaks.

Thinking all was good I head out on the 25 mile drive back home from my
friends shop. Made 10 complete stop before go on to the freeway.. all still
normal. About 15 mile of freeway driving I started to smell burning brake
pads.. Didn't take long to know it was me. I was able to nurse it home but,
when I came off the exit I had no pedal at all on the first stroke. I gave
it 2 pumps and had full pedal with a strong pull to the driver side (the
non-sticking brake). At home I found the front rim and brake area very hot.
I checked the fluid and found both reservoirs at normal levels.

I plan exploratory surgery in the morning so any insight on what may be
going on would be great!!

Thanks as alway!
Matt
