Got the '68's home and had to day to play with them.
basket case is:
SPL311-17226
should have R58229
has R27460 (that means it's a 3-main bearing motor, correct?)
pulled the radiator and was able to turn the crank - so motor is not
seized!
Can I do a compression check turning the engine over by hand or do I
get crazy and hook up a battery?
decent body is:
SPL311-20000 (interesting even number)
should have R62598
