Each March Team Continental puts on a
weekend competition driving school at
Portland International Raceway. In the
late 60's a student got a little
exuberant in his Alpha roadster and
rolled it. That evening the television
news did a report of the driving school
and showed film of the Alpha rolling.
Great publicity..... The owner of the
Alpha assumed it was not an insured
damage claim and did not notify his
insurance agent. About a week later the
poor guy's insurance agent called him
and asked why a claim had not been filed
to have the car repaired/replaced. I
suspect it depends on how you file the
claim as to whether or not you are
covered.

FYI, last year I noticed flyers for this
driving school at Baxter Auto Parts. I
think the cost was around $180.00 for
the weekend.

I had my 1970 2000 out for a run last
weekend.
Actually participating in an SCCA TSD
rally. Anyway,
some guy (in an SUV) tagged me in the
left rear and
did a fair amount of damage. He was not
a participant
in the rally. I now have the insurance
all lined up
and am looking for a good place to get
it fixed,
especially after reading the thread on
the hood
debacle....

Does anyone know of a good
bodyshop/restoration shop
in the West Chester PA area?

FYI, if you ever participate in an SCCA
rally, make
sure you insurance covers this type of
event. My agent
told me that this was considered a
"race" no matter
what the SCCA says and if the accident
had been my
fault, I would not have been covered...
