Distributor Question

Newbie rebuilding distributor for a 69 1600

I am in the process of breathing life back into a roadster that has been
sitting for over two years.  My question is what type of lubricant if
any is used between the assembly breaker plate (the one with 3 the
microscopic bearings) When I disassembled the distributor it was caked
with some type of grease that turned to a solid.
