Joe,

Speedway Engineering in California cut me a 1-1/4" hollow steel bar to my 
specified length and put splines on the ends.  They will also furnish either 
aluminum or steel side arms for the bar.  I used the aluminum, which seem to 
be holding up, and cut them to the proper length using a hack saw.      I 
then drilled holes in the side arms, and used two 1/2" rod ends screwed and 
locked together on each side.  One rod end is bolted to the side arm, and the 
other is bolted to a short piece of angle, which bolts to the front lower 
control arm.  Good luck.
