I just returned from a flying trip to the East Coast with Joe
Alexander. The destination was Triumph Rescue, a really fine shop in Bally PA.
Matt Bakes, proprietor, has a kit available for installing an
alternator in a TR3, TR4, maybe more. The kit contains the
alternator, necessary brackets, and all wiring changes needed so the
rest of the car's electrical system still works. It's a thing of
beauty, especially at his price of (I think) $175.
