Shane,

There are two "conversions" using the Toyota 4 pot calipers. The first
one uses the stock TR6 rotors and early 4-Runner/HiLux calipers. The
other one uses slightly modded Toyata Cressida vented rotors and
slightly later 4-Runner calipers (which were wider to accommodate the
vented rotors. Both the TR6 solid rotor and the Cressida vented rotors
are one piece designs. Not quite as trick as Wilwoods and floating
rotors on alloy hats, but cheap and streetable.

Currently, I'm working on another approach, using the Cressida rotors
and the late TR6 calipers with a spacer placed between the caliper
halves. The boys in the UK who play with Ford Capris do this and has
luck would have it, one model of the UK Capri uses the same caliper as
the TR6, so there are UK venders with kits already made up to do this.
It doesn't have the "looky-that" effect of the 4-pot caliper, but more
importantr to me, looks "correct", while adding the benefits of a vented
rotor. As soon as I finish with it, I'll post the data.
