Eric Madsen was the driver

It was painted black and white, sort of like a cop car including a 5-point
gold star if memory serves.

The car was/is based in New England Region

To me, one of the best aspects of that race was the fact that a low-budget
team from pretty much nowhere (Lakeville, MA) was able to grab a podium
spot. Sure it was a slug fest (the accident that caused the black flag
(and race restart) was pretty unbelieveable and took out at least one of
the top-five cars), but the race pretty much typifies the notion that
anything can happen in a race. That one was pretty exciting.

FWIW, and no commercial connection, the 2006 Runoffs are available in DVD
form from the SCCA store. I've been busy digitizing the races as they air
this year, but the $29 is cheap compared to getting some more ervenings to
work on the TR6. Once I heard the DVD was available, I pretty much stopped
playing with that project!
