Honorable Senators,
I am writing to urge you to vote NO on A.B. 2683 which is presently being
considered by the Senate Transportation Committee. Currently, vehicles over
30 years old are exempt from emissions tests which historically has recognized
the minimal impact of these vehicles on air quality. Vintage and classic
vehicles or overwhelmingly well-maintained and are driven very few miles each
year. Also 30 year and older vehicles are mostly owned and use by fixed
income seniors and other lower income persons.
Please vote NO on this legislation. Thanks.
