A couple more things I just thought of:

Make sure you install the driver's seat slides before you reinstall the
exhaust. The muffler will block access to the nuts that hold the sliders
down. If you have the shop install the fresh air hoses, make sure they also
install the heater blower. If the hoses go in first, the left hand hose
will block some of the mounting holes for the turn signal relay (the silver
box mounted by the front left wheel). There's captive nuts for this relay
in the inside fender, & getting the screws started into the nuts that were
blocked by the fresh air hose was particularly challenging. If I think of
anything else, I'll shoot you another email.

I have a pile of digital pics from my own disassembly. They're fairly large
file sizes, but I'll send some of them attached to emails. I don't have the
space to post them all on my web page, but if you haven't already seen my
page, it has some pretty good shots of the restoration sequence.

Thanks Mick,

I don't know if everyone will say that I am treating it right, but I'm going
to treat it very well! I think that there are five or so Longbridge cars in
one stage of restoration or another on the list right now. Not bad for the
black sheep of the Big Healeys!!!

I'm going to go all out with the digital camera, do you have the ones from
your car???? wanna share???? :) It would be nice to have a place on
Derek's site, or mine, that has nut and bolt detail pictures of a BN4, a
hundred or so for checking where everything fits, and where the wires,
pipes, and hoses run. No offence to the great vendors that sell picture
sets, but digital pictures are cheap and easy to deal with.

I am glad you mentioned the heater hoses, that was not on his list of
to-do's while the fender is off. I will add it to the list. Anything else
that "can't" be done with the car assembled?

Patton

Patton, glad to see another '57 BN4 getting treated right.
