Hi everyone,

I am reinstalling rebuilt carbs (HD6 X 2) and associated linkage on my 1959
BN7 which is going through a complete restoration. The engine /
transmission came back and installed 10 days ago with the help of some of
the Atlanta Club members.

The engine and all components were removed last April and I did not take
good notes of this part (TIP for anyone thinking of performing a
restoration: Take good, thorough notes with lots of digital pictures. Bag
and identify everything that comes off with that day's date).

The workshop manual and parts manual are not clear on this one.

This is a 1959 3000 BN7 Mark I, built in late November and finished in early
December, 1959. It has twin HD6 carbs.

Here are my questions

1) the three spacers between the intake and the carbs, are they all
necessary or can I use two on each side instead of the three?

2) what is the correct order of reinstallation ( I believe it is: intake,
gasket, spacer, spacer, heat shield, carb gasket, carb, gasket, air cleaner)

Thank you for your help in advance. This site has been a great help during
this restoration and it seems that beneficial threads appear at the right
time to coincide with the progress on my Healey.
